Cove House opened in late spring 2019.
Executive Chef Lance Repp is Chef and Owner of award-winning Cove House, Shore Rider, Dough Momma Pizzeria restaurants in La Jolla, and cocktail lounge The Cordova Bar. With over 30 years of fine dining experience, Chef Lance focuses on local and sustainable food with a coastal California flair adding touches of Mexican, Asian, and Mediterranean influences in his menus.
Originally from Canton Ohio, Chef Lance moved to San Diego in 2005 and his regional experience since then includes top positions at renowned dining venues Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, Rancho Valencia Resort, La Valencia Hotel, Tom Ham’s LightHouse, and The University Club.
Chef Lance prides himself on being a strong member of the community and regularly imparts his culinary skills to benefit local non-profit organizations. He has been a key events contributor for San Diego Chefs Celebration, ConnectMed, Oak Camp, Mama’s Kitchen, San Diego Food Bank, Challenged Athletes Foundation, the La Jolla Music Society and more.
His attention to detail, leadership abilities, and creative instincts for both classic appeal and future trends led to recognition in the San Diego Chef Hall of Fame in 2009 and 2012. Lance plans to continue the expansion of his current brands and make his mark on San Diego’s culinary scene.
